Getting To York

York is a short, 90-minute drive east of the Perth CBD along the Great Eastern and Great Southern Highways.

Heading out from the city, head east on the Great Eastern Highway towards Midland. Continue on Great Eastern Highway through to Great Eastern Highway Bypass where you’ll need to merge onto Roe Hwy.

Continue for 2.5km, keeping in the left lane to take the Great Eastern Highway/Roe Hwy slip road to Kalgoorlie. Merge onto the Great Eastern Highway and continue straight for 30 minutes.

At The Lakes BP Station, turn right onto Great Southern Highway. Continue for 45kms until you see our sign which signals the entrance to Avon Terrace.

The TransWA GE2 Coach line travels from East Perth to Esperance via Kulin and Hyden, with just a couple of stops to York from the start of the journey at the East Perth Terminal.

Buses run from the East Perth Terminal from 8am Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and back from York 8am Tuesdays and Thursdays.

For more information or to book your bus tickets, head to the TransWA website now.

Acknowledgement of Country

The York Festival acknowledges the Traditional Owners of the Land on which we gather, the Ballardong Noongar people, and their continuing connection to land, waters and community. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging and we extend that respect to other First Australians today.
