• The Painting and Paper Collage workshop is an opportunity for family groups to work with artist Louise Monte to create 2D figures (silhouettes) that tell the stories of people from York who served in the first world war.

Painting and Paper Collage

Using a mix of collage and painting techniques, you and the kids can bring York’s ANZAC story to life at the Painting and Paper Collage workshop.  This is a great way for family groups to work together, under the guidance of tutor Louise Monte, to create 2D silhouettes which will become part of a major Exhibition in the York Town Hall for the 2018 commemoration of the end of the First World War. The Painting and Paper Collage workshops are suitable for art beginners of all ages.  All Welcome (under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult) and all materials provided.
