SUMMARY:FIND THE FEATURE
DESCRIPTION:“Local residents will have a great advantage in one York Festival race this year” says Festival Director\, Jenny Garroun. \nFind the Feature is a one hour race to match buildings in York to pictures of 60 architectural features and motifs from those buildings. \nParticipants will be given a form with a pic of 60 different features or motifs (e.g. a keystone) from a building in the York town centre. \nThey then have up to one hour to match the pic to a building\, that’s one per minute! \nIndividuals or teams for the race can register from 10:30 am on Sunday 29 September 2019 at Botanicalia\, 152 Avon Tce.  The race commences at 11 am. \nThe hunt will be faster if done in teams\, but only one form and clipboard will be given to each team. \nParticipants can go on foot or bicycle but are asked to take great care when looking up! \nThe first participant or team to provide a full correct answer wins the prize. \nEntry is free. \nAfter the race\, anyone can collect the clues from Botanicalia or the Visitor’s Centre and do the building hunt at their leisure.  The Festival runs until 30 October 2019. \nAnswers will be separately available from Botanicalia from 12:00 noon on Sunday 29 September 2019. \n“This will be easy for local residents because they should recognise most of the 60 clues and know where the buildings are\,” says Jenny Garroun. \n“Put on your running shoes\, come and register your team\, and join the hunt!” \n
