The Stromatolites are a post-impressionist, francophilic, chamber jazz trio, drawing upon the musical worlds of Sidney Bechet and Django Reinhardt. Featuring acclaimed performers, Simon Charles, Jeffery Harrold and Djuna Lee, The Stromatolites’ members are active throughout Australia’s Jazz and Experimental scenes. Audiences can expect to hear the old tunes pushed to new dimensions, a bespoke instrumental approach with improvisational flair.
