The Act-Belong Commit York Festival attracts thousands of people to WA’s oldest inland town.  This year, program highlights include the introduction of Wara (rice straw) Art to Australia.  Over five weeks, Japanese artist AKIRA MORIYA comes to York for the Festival’s first international artist exchange.  Over five weeks, Mr Moriya will lead a team of artists including Fiona Gavino and Yuko Takahashi and volunteers (including you?) in the construction of three giant straw sculptures of endangered Australian animals.  We invite you to get involved and become one of the volunteers.

Other highlights include the Running of the Lambs,  the Great Convict Hunt, along with Spare Parts Puppet Theatre’s presentation of Moominpappa by The Sea, music for all tastes, the Maker’s Market, comedy, Silent Disco and Cosplay + Croquet.  Want to know more?
